Andalusia is the only Spanish community where you can find different species and chemotypes of species such as cantueso, rosemary or thyme.

In Almería alone, one of the eight Andalusian provinces, we have cataloged eleven species and several hybrids of the genus Thymus (thyme). This is just a small example of the rich biodiversity of Andalusia and our clear commitment to value it for our clients.

Located in Almería, El Jarpil was born in 2004 as a result of the passion and study of its manager for aromatic plants and essential oils.

Pedro Pablo Pellín Martínez, CEO of the company, began at the end of the nineties to document the production process of essential oils and, as a result of his work with a family from the Sierra de Baza dedicated to this type of production, gives the leap to the joint marketing and production of these products, an association that still exists.

Over time, El Jarpil has evolved, increasing its network of producers and suppliers, and expanding its range of products but always with clear and firm values.

It currently has a wide range of essential oils and products with more than 200 product references, all in an ecological range for different industries such as cosmetics, food, or pharmaceuticals, among others.

R&D and product quality have played a determining role in the company’s role, from the study, characterization, and valorization in international markets of chemotypes unknown to the industry, at the beginning of the company. Even formulation, packaging, consulting, or portable distillation services today.

Since our beginning we have always kept in mind the importance of internationalization, currently, we export 70% of our turnover.

France is our main market, although our products reach Germany, the United States, Canada, China and India.
